Team Minogue Loses Ruth
Dannii became the first judge out of the competition tonight after losing her last remaining act Ruth Lorenzo.
Team Minogue did amazing this year and Dannii took the over 25's further into the competition then they have ever reached in previous years.
Although it would have been amazing to see Dannii win the show 2 years running we still think she did brilliant and should be prud of what she has achieved.
Team Minogue couldn't have been better and we wish Ruth, Rachel and Daniel lots of luck for the future.
This may not be the last we hear of the,:-) Here are Ruth's performances.

Ruth Lorenzo - I Love Rock'n Roll

Ruth Lorenzo - Always

Team Minogue Loses Rachel
We knew it was gonna happen and tonight was the night that Team Minogue lost Rachel
Rachel did her best performance of the show in her sing off but obviously wasn't enough for the judges as Louis, Cheryl and Simon all voted Rachel to leave the show
Ruth was safe this week and sailed though to the next weeks show
It's all down to the publics votes next week as the judges don't get their say from now on in the show
Here are Team Minogues performances.

Ruth Lorenzo - Love Ain't Here Anymore

Rachel Hylton - Rule The World

Team Minogue Loses Daniel
Team Minogue were in double trouble this week with Dannii having 2 of her acts in bottom two
Daniel and Rachel got the least amount of votes from viewers this week.
This week was the week everyone was waiting for to see Rachel sing a song that really suited her voice but still the public wasn't impressed.
In the meantime Daniel went with the Tom Jones classic "It's Not Unusual".
Rachel sang a U2 classic as her survial song this week and Daniel went with "Bridge Over Troubled Water"
Unfortunately for Daniel. Louis, Chery and Simon voted to keep Rachel in the competition.
Here are their performances.

Ruth Lorenzo - Angels

Rachel Hylton - You Know I'm No Good

Team Minogue triumphed this week but that doesn't mean they wasn't in trouble
Dannii is now the only judge will all her acts remaining in the competition but it was still a close call as yet again Ruth Lorenzo ended up in the bottom 2 alongside Laura White.
This week was Mariah Carey week so a tough week all round for everyone but to see Ruth and Laura come out bottom was a shock to everyone.
Lucky Ruth was saved by the judges votes after being saved by Simon, Dannii and Louis.
Here are their performances.

Ruth Lorenzo - My All

Rachel Hylton - Against All Odds

Team Minogue was in trouble again this week.
Disco was the theme for this weeks show and it proved a challange for all the contestants.
Rachel came along side Austin in the bottom two this week which now means all have Dannii's acts have experienced it.
Luckily Dannii, Cheryl and Louis voted to keep Rachel in the competition after an amazing performance of Mary J Blige hit single "No More Drama".
Team Minogue still have all their acts so we wish them luck for next week when the theme will be Mariah Carey songs.

Here are their performances.

Ruth Lorenzo - No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)

Rachel Hylton - Lost In Music

Daniel Evans - Don't Leave Me This Way

GORGEOUS DANNII MINOGUE IS SPICING UP THE X FACTOR BY BRINGING IN EMMA BUNTON AS HER JUDGING SIDEKICK.

The Aussie told TV Biz that Baby Spice, 32, has been a godsend when it comes to deciding which wannabes to put through.
Dannii, 36, who is putting the over-25 hopefuls through their paces at her rented pad in the ritzy French resort of St Tropez, said: “She’s been brilliant — one of the best X Factor guest judges ever.
"She really helped me focus on who we should be putting through to the next round.”
The beauty added: “Emma is one of the biggest X Factor fans so she knows the show inside out.”
Each of the ITV1 hit’s four judges is allowed to pick a trusty aide to help them weed out weaker contestants during singing boot camps at the stars’ homes.
And Dannii revealed that she is finding the process heart-breaking.
She admitted: “It’s so hard deciding who to put through and who to send home because it means the world to these people.
“You’re sitting there and you’re in charge of these kids’ hopes and dreams.”
Meanwhile just up the French Riviera’s coast, in Cannes, Cheryl Cole, 25, has turned to Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh, 26, to pick the best of the girls’ category.
Fellow judge Louis Walsh, 56, has picked Westlife singer Shane Filan, 29, as his helper.
The singer has flown out to Louis’ Irish home to give his advice on the shortlist.
And Simon Cowell, 48, has regular sidekick Sinitta, 41, to help him whittle down the lads’ category at his home in Barbados.

Dannii revealed her Baby signing as Britney Spears, 26, put pen to paper to perform on the show — just as The Sun predicted.
Simon Cowell said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have her.

“Everyone wants to work with her because she’s a star. She’s the number one booking in the world at the moment for a show.”
Television’s Mr Nasty added: “The fact that she goes a bit crazy occasionally makes her more interesting. And if she wants to shave her head before she comes on the show, she’s welcome to. I don’t care.”
Britney is just one of a star-studded line-up set for guest performances on the talent quest.
Leona Lewis, 23, will return to the show which made her name when she won the series in 2006.
Last year’s winner Leon Jackson, 19, is also coming back to showcase his new single.
And Girls Aloud are rumoured to be making an appearance.
Meanwhile, Dannii has said she wants Michael Jackson, 50, to join them, alongside Cher, 62, and Jennifer Aniston’s ex, US blues singer John Mayer, 30.
CHERYL'S AXE FACTOR
Crybaby X Factor judge Cheryl Cole faces the axe after viewers told her: “We’re bored of your snivelling.”

The new girl trailed behind sexy co-star Dannii Minogue, 36, when fans were asked to pick their top judge.
In one survey, Aussie babe Dannii bagged almost three times as many votes as the Girls Aloud star.
One show source said: “The writing could be on the wall – she’ll have to change her act to win fans over.
“Viewers say she’s too ready to burst into tears when she hears the sob stories from wannabes. That’s got very tiring very quickly.”

Dannii came tops in two separate polls.
In New Magazine she grabbed a whopping 62% of the vote among fans asked: “Who’s your fave X Factor judge?” – while Cheryl, 25, got just 25%, Simon Cowell 11% and Louis Walsh only 3%.
And in a fan poll on yahoo.com Dannii – who is teaming up with Baby Spice Emma Bunton, 32, to mentor her acts – got 42% to Cheryl’s 32%.
Last night Dannii’s spokesman said: “She is really thrilled.”

Girls Aloud star Cheryl told Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley yesterday: “I’m just kind of getting to know Dannii.
“It’s all work, work, work.”
The X Factor Press Release
175,000 applied and now only 24 acts remain to fight it out for a chance to win get one of the coveted 12 places in the live studio shows. Over the course of two days, the judges invite the contestants to see them at exotic venues abroad as the 24 battle it out for one of twelve places in the live studio shows. With the help of celebrity advisors, each judge must now work alone to each pick their favourite final three acts from the six that have made it through to the last stage of the audition process: the Judges’ Houses.
Six acts have made it through to represent each of the four categories, the 14 – 24 Girls, the 14 - 24 Boys, the 25 and overs, and the groups, and this year they arrive at the judges houses with no idea who their judge will be until they reveal themselves at their homes.
This year representing the 14 – 24 Girls is Cheryl Cole, who has invited the six girls to an exclusive villa in Cannes, south of France.
Representing the 14 – 24 Boys this year is Simon Cowell, who has invited the boys out to Barbados.
Representing the 25 and overs category this year is last year’s triumphant judge Dannii Minogue, who has invited the them out to St Tropez.
And finally, presiding over the groups this year is music mogul Louis Walsh, who takes the groups to haunted Castle Leslie in Ireland.
Over the course of two shows, viewers will see each of the acts sing twice for their judge and guest mentor. Each judge, with help and advice from their celebrity guest, then has the unenviable task of picking just three acts to represent them at the live studios shows. With the talent level higher than previous years, none of the judges are going to have an easy time deciding on their final three.

Judges Homes Location
Last year Dannii packed up her boys and sent them to her spiritual home of Ibiza for the Judges Homes round.
It has been announced that Ibiza isn't the location for this years series.
So where will it be we wonder???
I'm so glad to be rid of her

She was forced to sit through weeks of Sharon Osbourne's caustic put-downs.

But now, with only two weeks to go until the new series of The X Factor - minus Sharon following her decision to quit - Dannii Minogue is making the most of Sharon's departure to launch a polite, yet stinging attack.

'There's nothing Sharon can say that will make me feel angry or bad. I couldn't live my life the way she lives her life,' Dannii tells Thomas Cook's travel magazine, out today.

Sharon, 55, claimed Dannii had only got the job as a judge on Simon Cowell's hit ITV show because of her good looks.

Dannii, 36, remained tight-lipped about her fellow panellist - until now.

She added: 'I'm just happy for her to get on with it and I'll stay out of the way. All the comments and behaviour say so much about her, and nothing about me.'

Speaking of her relief, er, we mean excitement of working with Sharon's replacement, Cheryl Cole, she said: 'I'm thrilled Cheryl has joined.
'She has experienced the whole process first-hand and successfully carved out a recording career with Girls Aloud.
'She brings a breath of fresh, young air to the show and isn't afraid to voice her opinions, even with Simon.'

Dannii is not the only one to be happy with Cheryl, 25.
A show insider tells us: 'Simon is so pleased he took a gamble because it has paid off. This is the happiest he has been for a long while.
'For once there is no bitching or backbiting like there was before. It was incredibly stressful with the feud between Dannii and Sharon.'
Extra X Factor is given axe
X FACTOR bosses have scrapped an idea to rival Strictly Come Dancing with a live Sunday night results show. Simon Cowell & Co came up with the plan to spread the ITV1 telly talent show across two nights. But TV Biz revealed that Cowell only wanted to launch the results slot if it went out live — and was not pre-recorded, like Strictly. However, that would have cost an extra £500,000 a week. And X Factor judges were demanding more cash on pay deals for filming an extra day.

Going X-tra mile to make dreams come true
FOR the second year in a row, Wishaw fundraiser Les Hoey organised a memorable trip for sick youngsters from the area to meet the famous judges from television programme The X-Factor.

Les organised a trip in which around 30 children being treated at the Schiehallion Unit in Yorkhill Hospital, Glasgow, met The X-Factor’s controversial judge Simon Cowell, along with fellow judge Dannii Minogue and programme presenter Holly Willoughby.

Les and the children met the judges at Hampden Park last week.

Among the visitors was Carluke teenager Alan Jackson (12), who suffers from a brain tumour and is being treated at the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow.

He brought along his cousin Christina Stewart (14), from Law, to meet stars Dannii and Simon.

The delighted group watched the auditions and then met the judges. Afterwards, they went to Harry Ramsden’s for a treat.

For over 15 years, Les has been helping children who are suffering long-term illnesses, to have a dream come true.

Organiser Les said of the day out: “It is the second year we have done it and it was a great success.

“It was fantastic to be here. Last year I was on holiday in Benidorm making arrangements.
